IREC is committed to full transparency in the management of its financial and institutional resources. As a public research institute governed by the Generalitat de Catalunya, IREC publishes its financial information in accordance with applicable regulations, ensuring accountability to public institutions, partners, funders and
society at large.
The annual budget is approved in accordance with the Government of Catalonia s budgetary framework, setting out projected income and expenditure for each financial year.
Economic and financial information is published annually, including budgetary and accounting documents and available audit reports, in line with public sector transparency requirements.
Financial activity is subject to external scrutiny by the Sindicatura de Comptes and the Tribunal de Comptes, fulfilling the obligations established for public sector institutions.
Records of real estate assets and rights of use are maintained and published in accordance with public sector accountability standards.
